Excelsior College Accreditation

TEL Library collaborates with Excelsior College, a regionally accredited, not-for-profit online college based in Albany, New York, to provide transcripted college credit for TEL courses. Excelsior is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls approximately 36,000 students in a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

As part of their relationship with TEL Library, Excelsior College conducts a comprehensive review of TEL courses, instructors, and testing processes. As courses are approved, they become eligible to receive transcripted credit from Excelsior via the college’s OneTranscript service. Students completing TEL courses with a passing grade may request a course transcript directly from Excelsior College.

How to Request Excelsior College Transcripts

  1. Complete TEL courses successfully, with a passing grade (70% or above).
  2. Create a MyExcelsior account to apply online or download an application.
  3. Send an email to TEL Library to request a Transcript Verification Letter. The request should be sent to request@tellibrary.org. Include your full name, the title of the course, and the date of completion. In the subject line, please put “Transcript.”
  4. Submit an initial payment of $270 to Excelsior for a student copy of your transcript. Each additional official transcript or student copy requested will cost $12 each.
